Embark on The Caravan Journey, an 8-day, 7-night adventure cycling trip that takes you from the vibrant city of Marrakesh to the breathtaking sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. Inspired by the historic trade routes that caravans once traveled from Sub-Saharan Africa to the Mediterranean, this journey invites you to explore Morocco’s most captivating landscapes.
Travel through the majestic Atlas Mountains en route to serene oases, historic kasbahs, and the vast expanse of the desert. Ride on dirt roads, double-track trails, and occasional single-track sections, fully supported by a professional Moroccan crew and the expert guidance of KC&E Adventures. Each night, relax in carefully selected accommodations ranging from boutique hotels to luxurious desert camps under star-filled skies.
This is more than a cycling trip—it’s a cultural immersion. Along these ancient caravan routes, you’ll connect with Morocco’s rich history while exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites, savoring authentic Moroccan cuisine, and experiencing the warm hospitality of local communities. The journey culminates in a spectacular desert camp at Erg Chigaga, where you’ll celebrate with champagne atop the sand dunes, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As featured in Men’s Journal, Field Mag, Cycling Weekly, and Adventure Cyclist.
Please note that this ride should be done on a bike with no less than 47c tires. A gravel bike with big tires or a mountain bike will provide the best experience for tackling Morocco’s diverse terrain.
